Event Description

The 5th International Energy Week (IEW) in 2023 was hosted by The Ministry of Energy and Environmental Sustainability Sarawak (MEESty), successfully adopting and deliberating the theme of "Transitioning Towards A Net Zero Carbon Future".

Officiated by the Premier of Sarawak, The Right Honourable Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr.) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, the event also brought together industry heavyweights including The Honourable Tan Sri Tengku Muhammad Taufik, President and Group Chief Executive Officer of PETRONAS, The Honourable Datu Haji Sharbini Suhaili, Group Chief Executive Officer of Sarawak Energy Berhad, Abang Arabi Bin Abang Narudin, Senior Vice President Corporate Strategy of Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (PETROS) and Siti Hurrairah Sulaiman, Country Chair of Shell Malaysia advocating the Net Zero Carbon Future agenda and featured highlights on the development of the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy and its compounding impact to the region.
