The 15th Vietnam’s International Water Supply, Sanitation, Water Resources and Purification Event - Vietwater 2024 is set to return with great promise, offering valuable business opportunities for domestic and international enterprises from November 06th - 08th, 2024 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), 799 Nguyen Van Linh, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. According to the latest data from the Aqueduct Water Risk Atlas, by 2050, more than 50% of the global population is projected to face water stress. Global water demand is expected to increase by 20% - 25% by 2050, with an additional 1 billion population (World Economic Forum, August 2023). This poses a challenge not only for consumers and water-dependent industries, but also for water security. In Vietnam, according to calculations in the National Water Resources Planning, by 2030 the total water volume is forecast to reach 948.4 billion cubic meters, an increase of about 2% compared to the present. Despite having abundant water resources, the allocation and regulation of water flow to ensure balance over time and geographical regions, along with the work of combating water pollution caused by agricultural, industrial, and urbanization activities, is still a top concern in Vietnam. The rapid development of industrial zones has led to inadequate wastewater treatment, lacking suitable equipment and technologies. Therefore, the application of advanced wastewater treatment technologies from around the world is an important task for the development of Vietnam’s water industry.

In this context, the Vietwater exhibition continues to affirm its position as one of the leading regional water industry trade events in Vietnam for the past 15 years, contributing to the promotion of trade and technological progress. This year, Vietwater 2024 will be held from November 06th - 08th, 2024, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC). Vietwater 2024 occupies an exhibition area of up to 10,000 sqm. The event is expected to welcome nearly 450 exhibiting companies from over 25 countries and territories, mainly from developed countries such as the UK, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Taiwan, South Korea, Israel, Japan, France, Singapore, Turkey, Switzerland, China, India, and many other countries. Over the three-day period, the event is expected to attract more than 10,000 trade visitors.

Notably, in this edition, Vietwater 2024 continues to mark its collaboration with Vietnam's Transportation, Waste Treatment and Environment Technology Event (WETV), bringing diverse exhibition experiences for enterprises and the water, waste treatment and environment community. Here, technologies for waste management, recycling, industrial emissions measurement, control and treatment will also be exhibited, reflecting the close relationship between water, waste and the environment, towards comprehensive solutions for the protection of natural resources.
According to Mr. Fabian Fischer - Advisor for International Program, German Water Partnership: “We are very positive about this year’s Vietwater and we are happy about the synergy, it has a combination with the WETV and we are also happy to be here present with the Germany pavilion and many exhibitors from Germany. We are definitely coming back next year for the Vietwater and we have to come with the even bigger Germany Pavilion.”
